Spend the Evening with Us
Morrison Institute of Technology is proud to announce Winter Stem Camp 2021. This camp celebrates the return of in-person STEM enrichment activities. Students need these experiences now more than ever as they return to the classrooms and try to recover from the recent disruption to their education. The STEM Camp activities are designed to give participants a window into Engineering or IT careers, a hands-on experience, and a product they can show off with pride. The Winter STEM Camp is open to all students in grades 4th through 12th.

LED Holiday Art - Make Your Spirit Bright!
Learn how to use coding to create your own LED Christmas light display.
This activity will allow participants to not only experience code creation but also explore the technology behind it. Campers will set up a microprocessor and learn how specific functions can be enabled for a personalized light display.

Christmas Cricuit
Create your own personalized clothing, Decals, glassware, and more as you create cut files for the Cricut Maker cutting system.

Bridging Into the Future
Explore bridge design using the latest in computer simulations, then put your ideas to the test in a bridge-building contest.
Aspiring Engineers will learn some basic principles that inform bridge design, explore possibilities in the computer simulation, modify their own laser-cut bridge to see their ideas become reality. Campers then put the strength of their design to the test.

Roaming Robot
Nothing captures the awe and wonder of technology better than a robot, except maybe one created yourself. This activity allows campers to experience the wonder and imagination of robotics as they build their very own self-driving robot and learn some basic electronics skills along the way.

Decration Fabrication
Experience the makerspace concept. It’s not just about doing it yourself, It’s about doing it better or taking it one step further than anyone else. Materials, processes, creativity, technology, and craftsmanship come together as students design and build a laser-cut wooden ornament.
