Morrison Tech Welcomes Gene Farach, P.E. to its Instructional Staff

Morrison Tech is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Gene Farach, PE. Gene will join the Highway and Construction Technology program at the college.
Mr. Farach brings with him 42 years as a practicing Structural Engineer. Along with his strong experience as an Engineer he has been a mentor, business owner, contractor, marketer and even the Mayor of the City of Longwood, Florida.
“I am delighted to be part of Morrison Tech. I have worked with graduates of the college and found that their training was a huge asset to our engineers – they were ready to hit the ground running!!!” Mr. Farach declared
Chris Scott, President of the college stated that,” Gene will help our students add on to the solid foundation in construction technology they already receive at the college by sharing his knowledge and many experiences, past and present. I am happy to have a Professional Engineer on board.”
Outside of the classroom Gene enjoys art, woodworking and cooking; but his real passion lies in engineering and teaching. Mr. Farach received his
Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida.
Gene is a native of Cuba. He and his wife Dorothy, a native of Boston MA, an avid equestrian and a retired teacher, live outside of Clinton, IA. They share their home with four rescued cats and their two mares, PJ and Hazel.
