Morrison Tech student Ambassadors are a volunteer group that hail from various high schools.  They all are very proud of attending Morrison Tech and want to share their pride of the college to others

These Ambassadors connect with current students, prospective students and their families. They are able to offer a student perspective of the college.

Their job does not stop there. They volunteer in the community and head up events that support various causes.  If you would like to contact a Student Ambassador please email admissions@morristontech.edu and you will be connected soon by an Ambassador.

A few of our 2017-2018 Student Ambassadors!

Meet Wendy

Hi! My name is Wendy and I am from North Grand High School in Chicago. In the Spring of 2019 I will be graduating with an Associates Degree in Construction Technology.

Why I chose Morrison; Living in the city most of my life I wanted a change in environment.  Morrison Tech is very welcoming and small.  With the college being so small teachers can focus on each student.  In a large college you have to make appointments to speak to a teacher.  I receive plenty of help from the instructors and I am sure I am learning much more here than other places.  Plus there is not a lot of distraction, so that makes it even better  After I graduate I would like to continue my studies to become a civil engineer than receive a professional degree.

Fun Fact About Myself?  I ran a marathon my Junior year of High School

Best advice for incoming student and those starting their college search - do your research on colleges that YOU think would be best for YOU! The name of the college does not matter, what they offer does

Derek HobbinsMeet Derek

Hi!  I’m Derek and I am from Metamora (IL) High School.  I will graduate December of 2017 with an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Why I chose Morrison Tech; The industry connections and career placement percentages are so much higher than anywhere else in the country due to hands on technical training coupled with the ABET accreditation.  After I graduate I would like to secure a great job and create a successful future for myself and my family.   With a Morrison Tech degree I know this will happen. I am a few months away from graduation and have already interviewed with several of the employers who seek out Morrison graduates.

Fun Fact About Myself:  Despite wanting to be the “tough guy” I melt every time I see puppies, especially mine

Best advice for incoming students and those starting their college search: Study hard, be yourself and don’t take a back seat on the road to your future.  Become the driver

Meet Jordan

Hi! My name is Jordan and I am from Byron (IL) High School.  I will be graduating in the Spring of 2019 with an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Why I chose Morrison Tech; It was close to home and offered the specific classes that I wanted.  With these specific classes I would like to work for Harley Davidson as some of our Alumni’s do.

Fun Fact About Myself:  I play the guitar and I skateboard.  Not together though!

Best advice for incoming students and those starting their college search: Get out and socialize, make new friends, do not sit in your dorm room all day.

Morrison Tech Student AmbassadorsMeet Jasmine

Hello!  My name is Jasmine and I am from Okaw Valley (IL) High School.  In the Spring of 2019 I will be graduating with an Associates Degree in Network Administration.

Why I chose Morrison Tech?  I chose the college because it had the exact major I am interested in.  It is a small school , small class sizes and offers a true hands on education.

Fun Fact About Myself:  I really do not have a fun fact about me but did you know that gorillas burp when they are happy

Best advice for incoming students and those starting their college search: Set goals, work hard and don't be afraid to get out there and do them

Meet JamesMorrison Tech Student Ambassadors

Hi!  I am James and I graduated from Stillman Valley (IL) High School.  I will graduate next Spring, 2018, with an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

Why I chose Morrison Tech? I chose Morrison because of the small class sizes, high career placement and apartment style dorms.  Upon graduation I am going to continue my education at the University of Wisconsin Platteville to receive my BS in Manufacturing Technology Management.  My goal is to work in a research and development national laboratory.

Fun Fact About Myself; I have been coast to coast in the United States, I broke my arm snowboarding last year and I build computers for fun

Best advice for incoming students and those starting their college search; Do as many college visits as possible.  Pick the right school for you, not the one all of your friends are going to.

Meet Jacob

Hello!  I am Jacob and I am from Fulton (IL) High School.  I will have an Associates Degree in Network Administration when I graduate in the Spring of 2019.

Why I chose Morrison Tech?  I  like the small class vibe.  In High School I had small classes and wanted to carry that feeling on.   The placement at this technical college is very high compared to other tech schools, I have a guaranteed future!

Fun Fact About Myself; I own a lot of burgundy colors and I love fried rice!

Best advice for incoming students and those starting their college search;  You never dream about success, you work for it!
