Morrison Tech Hosts Fall 2023 Career Fair
The Annual Morrison Tech Fall Career Fair was held on Thursday, October 19th 2023 in the college's Parkinson Auditorium. This October’s Career Fair connected students with prospective employers seeking to fulfill numerous employment and internship opportunities. For several students this was their first-time meeting employers, interviewing and presenting their resumes for review. Students returning for their final year at Morrison Tech were experiencing their third interaction with employers. Several returning students stated that it was still a situation that left them nervous; maybe more so this time knowing that they will be graduating next spring.
Over 25 employers, including The US Army Corps of Engineers, Wahl Clipper, Fehr Graham, Shive-Hattery, Timken and P & P Industries were among those that met with students.
Morrison Tech is known for its ROI (Return on Investment), high career placement percentage, and healthy average starting salary. Recently the college was ranked number one on ROI for two-year schools in the Midwest. Employers continually return to campus and recruit students because of their positive experience with proven Morrison Tech graduates. Some of these partnerships span nearly half a century. In fact, several Morrison Tech graduates were on campus recruiting the next generation of employees for their respective companies.
The students at Morrison Tech were excited about the opportunities provided by the career fair. They turned out professionally dressed with resumes in hand to explore the available positions. Many of the students walked in with a stack of resumes and left with business cards, brochures, new contacts, and big smiles. Employers also left pleased with potential prospects and employee candidates.
The Career Fair is a reminder for students, faculty, and staff that two years of hard work and preparation lead to exciting and fulfilling careers for graduates.
