Morrison Tech Holds 85th Commencement Ceremony

Morrison Institute of Technology proudly celebrated its 85th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 9, honoring the achievements, perseverance, and bright futures of the Class of 2026.

Family, friends, faculty, staff, and community members gathered to recognize graduates as they crossed the stage and officially joined the long-standing tradition of Morrison Tech alumni.

During his commencement address, President Christopher Scott reflected on the many milestones the college experienced throughout the past academic year. Among the highlights were the graduation of the first class from Morrison Tech’s Automation & Intelligent Controls program and the continued expansion of campus facilities with the addition of the new IC Annex.

While these accomplishments marked important moments in the college’s history, President Scott emphasized that the most impressive achievement of all was the graduating class itself. He spoke about the determination, resilience, and growth displayed by students throughout their time at Morrison Tech, noting that their success is what truly defines the institution.

This year’s graduates are beginning journeys that will take them to communities both near and far. Some will launch careers close to home in areas such as the Quad Cities, Rockford, and Clinton, while others are headed as far as the Nashville, Tennessee area. Though their paths may differ, they all share a common bond - the education, experiences, friendships, and opportunities they found during their time at Morrison Tech.

The college proudly celebrates the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 and looks forward to seeing the impact these graduates will make in their industries and communities for years to come.
