A program to prevent the illicit use of drugs and the abuse of alcohol by students and employees, as required by the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989 (Public law 010- 226), is in effect.

For complete details of the college policy on drug and alcohol abuse prevention, refer to the current issue of Morrison Institute of Technology's Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention policy, as required by section 22 "Drug-Free Schools and Campuses" of Federal Public Law 101- 226 "The Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Amendments of 1989".

The possession, use, sale, purchase, or consumption of alcohol, drugs, controlled substances or cannabis by any student on the Morrison Institute of Technology campus, in any college building or in the residence hall is strictly prohibited. Any student or student guest on campus who violates this regulation will be immediately subject to appropriate disciplinary action by the college administration. The proper police authorities will also be notified when a violation of local, state or federal laws is involved.
