testimonials from past graduates
I
have worked at several different consulting firms
and cities over the years thanks in part to my
degree from Morrison Institute of Technology.
I'm currently employed with the City of Rock Island,
IL as a GIS Specialist and I have been with the city
since April 2001. I met my wife Maribel Torres at
MIT and we got married in 1992 and we now have 3
kids. Maribel is now employed with the City of
Moline, IL. I really enjoyed my time at MIT and
wouldn't have traded it for anything. I felt it was
a good experience for me and I would recommend
Morrison Institute of Technology to anyone who is
interested in becoming an Engineering Technician.
I'm currently trying to get my bachelors degree in
Public Administration.

My
Associates Degree in Engineering Technology from
Morrison Institute of Technology has assisted me in
obtaining a career at Illinois Dept. of
Transportation. MIT has taught me many skills that
are essentials in the engineering field.

I
feel that Morrison Institute of Technology gave me a
very good education in the field of engineering.
Even though my education was based on mechanical
engineering, I am presently doing civil engineering
for the Illinois Dept of Transportation as a MicroStation operator.
When I graduated, it seemed like mechanical was my
career, but remember there are many
different types of engineering, and civil was my
calling.

To
all future Morrison Institute of Technology
students, MIT has helped me achieve my goals in
today’s big economy. The many different classes MIT
teaches will give you a better opportunity for job
placement. I have been working for the Illinois
Department of Transportation now for 10 years and
MIT helped get me there. MIT is well staffed with
some of the best teachers around. I hope MIT will be
your choice to start a new future.

Without my education from MIT, I would not be where I am today. My education gave me the basic knowledge and some "hands-on" experience that prepared me for the working world. I enjoyed the fact that the college was small enough to provide one on one training when needed. I would welcome anyone that is interested in engineering to consider MIT as their first step in the post high school education.
