Schedule of
Open Houses
For the convenience of prospective students, parents
and interested teachers and counselors, Morrison Institute of
Technology will host four Open House events during the 2008 - 2009
academic year.
If you miss attending an Open House or are unable to
attend a scheduled Open house, you may contact the
admission's office
to set up a private tour of the college. Private tours are
conducted on a frequent basis during the spring and summer months.

When visitors arrive for an open house, they are
invited to have coffee and snacks in a reception area, followed by a
tour of the campus. The campus tour includes a short presentation
about the college in the multi-media classrooms, and then a tour of
the labs, classrooms, residence hall facility and student recreation
center. The tours are conducted by students of the college, and the
various "stops" along the tour are hosted by our faculty. After the
tour, questions concerning fees, scholarships, application procedures
and similar are answered by the admissions staff in a short seminar.
Campus Visit Days
Prospective students are invited to attend a
campus visit day in which you may tour the college facilities
and classes; talk to instructors and other students.
Unlike a formal Open House, a campus visit day is much more
informal and you may tour the areas you are most interested in
and talk to instructors and other students and sit in on actual
classes. The following are the Campus Visit Days:
Private Campus
Tours
In these times when both parents may work and
students often have part-time jobs or conflicting activities, it is
often difficult for a student and parent to visit the campus on a
scheduled open house date. Thus, in addition to the four formal open
house events, an interested student or parent is welcome to visit the
campus on an informal basis whenever they can manage to find some free
time. By calling a few days in advance, an admissions representative
can meet you on campus and show you around the college, tour
classrooms and laboratories and answer questions you may have
regarding admission requirements, financial aid programs and
procedures. To set up an appointment for an informal tour, please call
the Admissions Secretary at 815-772-7218 ext 207.
The faculty and staff of Morrison Institute of
Technology encourage prospective students and their parents to come
and have a first hand look at the college whenever possible.
