Typical Jobs
Students who elect the construction concentration
often do the following jobs after graduation: project inspection,
materials inspection and testing, CAD operation, drafting, project
design, preparation of project specifications, project supervision,
technical sales, surveying, and project estimation. Usually these jobs
are with construction or contracting firms, architectural and
engineering firms, surveying firms, drafting and design shops,
government agencies, pre-fabrication manufacturing firms, and similar.
Technical Course Requirements
The college continually evaluates technical courses
through its assessment program involving faculty review. Industrial
advisory board input, graduate evaluations and employer reviews to
provide the student appropriate required and elective technical
courses that are important in achieving success in the field of
engineering technology.
