Student Clubs

INVOLVEMENT

At Morrison, you will find students who share your interests and  who want to become involved.  Morrison Institute of Technology has several clubs and organizations you can become a part of.  And if you can’t find one that fits your interests…..get a game plan…..speak with the Administration ……and start your own organization.

CONSTRUCTION CLUB

The Construction Club was formed by a group of students enrolled in the Building and Construction program.  Students participate in various projects throughout the year.  Recently they have participated in constructing a Habitat for Humanity Home, volunteered throughout the community and assisted with campus improvement projects.  The club meets every two weeks and is governed by student elected officers.

S.M.E.

Morrison Institute of Technology’s SME Club is the largest student chapter of The Society of Manufacturing Engineers in the area.  Membership includes access to the S.M.E. job board and the ability to attend S.M.E. events at discounted rates. This club provides a great opportunity to meet potential employers and to network with those already employed in the field.  S.M.E. meets once a month and is governed by student elected officers.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS

Student Ambassadors are more than likely the first person you will meet when you step on campus.  They will lead tours for prospective students and work side by side with the Admissions Office at Morrison Institute of Technology.   Ambassadors are focused on their individual success as well as the success of the college.   Additionally, not only does the Student Ambassador program help you develop professional skills and communication skills, it’s also a ton of fun.  Ambassadors are interviewed and selected in September of each year.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT

Student Government is a great way to initially become involved at Morrison Institute of Technology and to broaden your leadership skills.  This group meets twice a month and is overseen by student elected officers and  heads up many activities on campus.   Fun Day, Movie Nights, and Red Cross Blood Drives are a few of the events they administer.
